Funding opportunities

An NSF Proposal Resubmission Program is available providing PIs funds to access resources for improving an already highly-rated proposal for resubmission. The program funds can only be used for an unfunded proposal with reviews received within the past 18 months. We encourage individuals with highly rated but unfunded proposals of all sizes and in all NSF Directorates to apply.

The ND EPSCoR State Office is now accepting proposals to fund undergraduate STEM research activities at Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU) and Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUI) within our jurisdiction.

NSF encourages researchers in EPSCoR jurisdictions to submit investigator-initiated proposals.

ND EPSCoR and SPARK-ND invite multi-institutional teams to apply for planning or pilot grants of up to $30,000 (total costs) to support the development of collaborative research proposals focused on broadening participation in STEM. LIMITED SUBMISSION: Only 1 application per institution as lead. Applications must be AOR approved prior to submission.

ND EPSCoR in collaboration with the ND NSF E-CORE award SPARK-ND seeks to provide research seed awards of up to $70,000 (total cost) to researchers at ND institutions of higher education. The focus of the proposed research must be directly related to April 22, 2026 Intentional Collision Event topic of Cover Crops & Pollinators. LIMITED SUBMISSION: Only 1 application per institution as lead
Applications must be AOR approved prior to submission.
