Students will create an edible model of an animal or plant cell.

• This lesson is an introduction to the idea of life at the cellular level. Students will be exposed to the vocabulary of the structures of a cell. Exposure to this lesson will lay the foundation for development of the concept of the cell as the smallest unit of life.
