Twelve Tribal college students from across North Dakota attended this year's NATURE University Summer Camp. The students each chose a research topic and worked with a faculty mentor in labs at NDSU and UND. On the final day of the camp, students presented their research findings.

Research networking event: Cover Crops and Pollinators Intentional Collision
ND EPSCoR is hosting an “intentional collision” event for North Dakota researchers who focus on issues surrounding cover crops and pollinators.
Intentional collisions are networking opportunities designed to bring individuals with similar research interests together from across North Dakota in a setting designed to facilitate building teams to address research questions. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 22, in Bismarck.

ND EPSCoR supports Student Research Showcase at AIHEC Student Conference
Students from Tribal Colleges and Universities across the United States gathered recently in Bismarck, ND, for the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) Student Conference, an annual event that celebrates Indigenous student achievement through academic competition, collaboration, and the sharing of knowledge. This year, ND EPSCoR sponsored the awards for the scientific poster and oral presentation competitions and the knowledge bowl.

ND EPSCoR STEM research seed awards announced
ND EPSCoR is pleased to announce the recipients of our FY26 STEM research seed awards. We received 57 proposals from North Dakota researchers. Nearly $500,000 will be awarded to the following eight projects. Funding will be provided to faculty for the purpose of generating preliminary data needed to support the preparation of a proposal for submission to a federal agency. We offer our thanks to everyone who submitted a proposal, and our congratulations to these awardees.

NSF is offering travel awards for the 2026 EPSCoR Annual Summit at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside in New Orleans, LA. Twelve travel awards will be provided to each EPSCoR jurisdiction. Travel awards will cover transportation, registration, and lodging.
