ND EPSCoR welcomes Director Mandy Guinn

Mandy Guinn has been named Director of the North Dakota Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (ND ESPCoR). Guinn begins in the role effective October 1.
As an ecologist and former faculty member at United Tribes Technical College, Guinn brings nearly two decades of experience in higher education, research development, and academic leadership to the program.
“I am incredibly excited to lead the next chapter of North Dakota EPSCoR. We are in a period of change in the EPSCoR landscape, and with that change comes an important opportunity to think intentionally about how we serve the jurisdiction,” Guinn said. “North Dakota’s greatest assets are the people whose ideas and expertise drive discovery and innovation across the state. Our role is to understand what they need to be successful, strengthen the connections that support their work, and create opportunities for research and collaboration to grow. I am looking forward to listening, learning, and working with our partners to redefine ND EPSCoR in a way that is responsive, connected, and aligned with the evolving needs and opportunities of the jurisdiction.”
Over the coming months, Guinn looks forward to meeting researchers, faculty, students, administrators, and partners throughout North Dakota. She views those conversations as an important first step in shaping the next chapter of ND EPSCoR and in building a research ecosystem that is increasingly connected, collaborative, and positioned for long-term success.
Jim Doolittle will continue to serve as Director along with Mandy through the end of the year to help her in her transition.
