NSF EPSCoR 2026 Annual Summit travel awards available

NSF is offering travel awards for the 2026 EPSCoR Annual Summit at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside in New Orleans, LA. Twelve travel awards will be provided to each EPSCoR jurisdiction. Travel awards will cover transportation, registration, and lodging at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside for all participants.

Please submit your application form by February 11 if you’d like to apply for a travel award.

Ten awards are intended to cover the expenses for individuals who are currently involved with an active EPSCoR award, but their expenses are not accounted for in the budget. This may include people managing program administration, communications, education, outreach, or engagement.

Two travel awards are for individuals who are not currently involved with an active EPSCoR award. This can be for individuals from the community who have been involved with previous projects, individuals that are adjacent to an active award, or prospective new PIs who may be planning an EPSCoR submission. The goal for these two travel awards is to engage individuals who have an interest in joining the EPSCoR community.

PIs are not eligible for these travel awards. As specified in NSF’s EPSCoR Awards Terms and Agreements, PIs should use the designated grant funds to attend the Annual Summit.

The Annual Summit will begin on May 19, 2026, for PIs and May 20, 2026, for other participants, and will conclude for all participants on May 22, 2026.
