Pages and Pathways by the numbers
The UND College of Education and Human Development held its third annual Pages and Pathways: PreK-12 Science of Learning conference on June 17 and 18 in Grand Forks. Pages and Pathways is an opportunity for regional educators to spend two days learning about literacy, STEM, and well-being. This year, the conference featured a mix of one-hour sessions and two-hour workshops. Here are some quick facts about this year’s conference.

NATURE University Summer Camp galvanizes STEM interest in North Dakota TCU students
In an activity-packed two-week program, thirteen students from three tribal colleges—Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College (NHSC), Sitting Bull College (SBC), and Turtle Mountain College (TMC)—immersed themselves in hands-on science at this year’s NATURE University Summer Camp.

The RSTE launches its latest cohort
Since 2021, ND-ACES has sponsored the Rural Student Teaching Experience (RSTE) program. The RSTE supports student teachers while they complete a one-semester internship in rural North Dakota schools, primarily in STEM classrooms. The program offers participants mentorship from experienced educators and provides them with a stipend to cover their living expenses while they are away from their home campus.

ND EPSCoR begins jurisdictional asset mapping project
ND EPSCoR has begun the process of measuring research capacity at North Dakota institutions of higher education. The goal of our jurisdictional asset mapping project is to identify and analyze the strengths of institutions in the areas of research, education, research administration and workforce development, so that together we can bring more research grant dollars to North Dakota colleges and universities.
